Obituary for Robin E. Hanses (Scully)

Hanses (Scully), Robin Eve, December 12, 1956 – March 16, 2017 Robin Eve Hanses, born December 12, 1956 in Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully in her home in Saint Louis, Missouri surrounded by her family. As an active member of the Church of Scientology of Missouri, Robin dedicated over 40 years of her life to helping others live a better life. She played an integral role in the Church’s transition from a small rented facility in the early 1980’s to its current beautiful facility in the Delmar Loop. Robin was a uniquely active listener who was highly sought after by friends and acquaintances for advice or even simple conversation. Never short on interests, Robin was an accomplished musician, gardener, cook, party planner, part-time food critic, and artist. The whimsical art that she co-created with her granddaughter is a feature in the homes of many of her friends. Robin is survived by her husband Mark Hanses, her children Matthew Neil and Eve Catherine, her two granddaughters Rhythm and Skye, her mother Jane Menges, her father John Scully, her sister Dru Scully, and her brother Jim Scully and his three children – Jack, Nate and Ayston. The celebration of Robin’s life will be held on April 2, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. in the auditorium of the Church of Scientology of Missouri, at 6901 Delmar Blvd. Robin has requested that, in lieu of flowers, people make a donation to a charity that they feel will change the world.
