Obituary for Charles I "Charlie" Volner
Charles I. Volner, age 81, of Arnold, MO, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis County, MO. He was born October 18, 1935 in Potosi, MO the son of the late Herbert and Cleta (nee: Alley) Volner. Charlie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 56 1/2 years: Martha L. Volner nee: (Skiles); three sons: Jeffrey Volner, Alan Volner, and Joshua (Brandy)Volner; two daughters: Marsha (Phil) Siecinski, and Angie Cleary; his grandchildren: Jeremy, Elizabeth, Rebekah, Griffin, Grayson, Gabe, Nate, Luke, Eli, Zachary, Caitlan, Jacob, Chloe, and Austin; great grandchildren: Noah, Zander, and Lily; two brothers: Billy Volner and Michael (Angie) Volner; two sisters: Frances Cooper, and Lavera Blair. Charlie was a dear uncle, great uncle, and friend to many. He was proud to serve his country as a Marine.
A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army, 3740 Telegraph Rd. Arnold, MO 63010; floral deliveries should be made to the Salvation Army address. Donations in memory of Charlie to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, at www.StJude.org would be appreciated.
