Clara M. Gempel, age 98, of Creve Coeur, MO, died at 9:05 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Hope Hospice in Creve Coeur. She was born December 13, 1915 in Sylvan Grove, Kansas, the daughter of Fred and Clara (Perseigehl) Boettcher. She married Alfred W. Gempel. Along with her parents, he preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Gempel of St. Louis.
